An Announcement...

No, I am not pregnant! That is the first thing people think when I say this...
But I wanted to post this on our blog for all of our family and friends...After much thought and many, many prayers, Kevin and I have made the decision to move to Kansas City, MO. Kevin is from there originally and he has lots of friends and family there. One of the biggest reasons we have made this decision is because of his dad.
Kevin's dad has been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and while he is doing pretty well right now, we feel in our hearts that the right thing to do is to go move near him. Kevin and I have both lost parents to cancer before and regretfully, did not spend enough time with them due to other circumstances. We do not want to make the same mistake twice.
Plus, as you all know we have been trying to have a baby for quite sometime and the idea of being close to family when that happens really makes me happy! Lord knows, I will need all the help and support I can get!
We are going to miss our life in Phoenix...we have an amazing church, great small group, great house, wonderful neighbors and friends, and the list goes on and on...Not to mention, the absolute most perfect weather ever! I am very concerned that me and two of our three dogs are going to freeze in KC! I do not handle cold weather well.
Another thing is that this is all happening VERY fast...we plan on being in Kansas City by the end of March at the latest. But what can I say? When God opens a door, he opens it very wide, has it propped open, and is pretty much pushing us through it!
Please pray for us as I am a little stressed with the move, packing, job hunt, etc. But I know we will be taken care of, and following the path God has prepared. Thank you so much for your love and support! We love you all!

A Romantic Hockey Game and Barbie Bowl 2009

We are finishing up a pretty fun weekend here at the McNeall house. As my Valentine gift for Kevin I bought us tickets to a Phoenix Coyotes hockey game. For those of you who do not live in Phoenix, they are our pro-hockey team...Also, the arena they play at is on the other side of the city in Glendale, AZ...It is a solid hour from where we live so we decided to get a hotel room near the arena and have a little "romantic getaway". So, we headed to west side of the valley around 5:00 pm on Saturday. The area around the arena is so nice...it is located in an area called "Westgate" and it is only a little over a year old and there are lots of fun places to go.

We decided to go check out Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville before heading into the hockey game. After that, we went inside the arena to cheer on our Phoenix Coyotes who were playing the Calary Flames. There were so many Calgary fans there it was like a home game for them, instead of us!
We stayed for most of the game, but decided to leave about 10 minutes before it was over since we were losing 6-2!!!! We headed over to one of our favorite places, the "Yard House" and shared a Thai Chicken Pizza and some creme brulee for dessert! Not the most upscale, romantic dinner, but it was still yummy. And I thoroughly enjoyed being on a date with my hubby.
After eating, we were both pretty sleepy so headed back to our hotel for the night. This morning, we slept in and then went back over to Westgate and had a Sunday brunch with a couple of virgin Bloody Mary's. Then it was time to head back over to our side of town because we had a team to coach!!!

BARBIE BOWL 2009- "BLONDE TEAM"

Every year, our church youth group does a "Barbie Bowl" which is where a bunch of teenage girls play flag football and have a great, yet competitive, time! They do Blondes vs. Brunettes and Kevin and I were the defensive coordinators for one of the Blonde teams. I wish I had pictures of this to show...these girls were so cute, so competitive, and played their little hearts out! The really cute part was watching my hubby get all into the coaching, telling them where to go, who to defend, how to block, etc! It made me fall a little more in love with him watching him interact with the girls while also being so encouraging and building them up. Our team won the first 2 games, which meant we had to play the other blonde team for the championship. Unfortunately, we lost the championship, but we were still so proud of the way they played. We had some very talented, athletic girls on our team.
So, that was our weekend in a nutshell. Hope yours was great as well and you were able to spend it with the ones you love!

Post Super Bowl and of course, The Dogs!

Once again I am late with this post, but I still wanted to show these pics. I figured I still needed to show some Arizona Cardinal pride and celebrate the fact that they had a great season. So here is our neighbor, Molly, and me showing a little Cardinal spirit via temporary tattoos:

And check out the awesome cake Molly and I made all on our own:

You can't tell in the picture, but we bought strawberry cake mix and put red dye in it to make the perfect "Cardinal Red" and then topped it off with white whipped icing and free-handed the words and Cardinal. It was pretty difficult to because I forgot to buy the little connection pieces for the squeeze icing so we had to squeeze (very carefully) out of this huge tube of red icing and do the best would could...but I think we did alright. The important thing is that it was super yummy!!!
So you all know the outcome of the Super Bowl:( but hey, maybe next year!

And I thought it was time to share some more pics of the dogs, so here they are:

"Baby Girl" Chloe (by the way, we just found out she has a thyroid problem so that explains her weight gain...poor thing)

My Elvis (with his favorite toy, he carries that thing everywhere) Don't you think it looks like he is smiling for the camera?

And last but not least, Diesel, my big dog who is afraid of EVERYTHING...he is such a scared-ey cat! If I bring out my blow-dryer in front of him, I won't see him for days!!! It completely freaks him out!

I will try to do a better job of posting events as they happen, opposed to 2-3 weeks later! Sorry...hope everyone is doing well.
