Miracle Mountain???

Does anyone see the face of Jesus in this mountain, or am I seeing things?

This is a mountain about 30 miles away from where we live in Fountain Hills, AZ. I work in this area sometimes and everytime I am there, I feel that I am being watched. But I am not gonna complain that Jesus is watching over me:)

Please let me know if you see "Him" too...

Doggie Drama!

Over the past couple of weeks, we have had some major doggie drama. It all started with Elvis and Chloe going in for their yearly vaccinations and check-up. While we were there, I happened to mentioned to the vet, "Oh by the way, Elvis has been pottying alot...more than usual". I just figured he had a urinary tract infection. Boy, was I wrong. They tested his urine and discovered that he had alot of blood in it, so the vet wanted to do an x-ray. It's never good when your vet comes back in the room holding the x-ray pictures and says "We have a major problem, guys". Now you all know that these dogs are my babies so I immediately panicked and assumed the worst. He showed us that Elvis had kidney stones and they were already lodged in places that could only be fixed by having them surgically removed. So, this past Wednesday my little boy went under the knife and had....drumroll, please....28 kidney stones removed! Can you believe that? That is alot of stones. The good news is that they removed them all and he feels so much better. He was in pain for the first couple of days after, but they sent him home with some morphine (which I think he enjoyed, by the way) and now he is back to his old self. So that is part one of our dog drama.
We were getting Elvis back to normal when Chloe decided she needed some attention. She tried to jump up on the couch and missed (she has short legs and is fat, so she is not a good jumper). She immediately started whining and shaking and would not let me touch her back leg. I was baffled though because she could still walk on it. Of course, Kevin was out of town, so I decided to share some of Elvis' morphine with her and wait for Kevin to get home. He quickly decided that she needed to go to the emergency vet. We spent 3 hours there (from 12am-3am) and Chloe was not happy to be there....that is until they gave her the "good stuff". They gave her more pain medicine and a sedative to calm her down. I wish I had a picture to share of how she looked coming out of that place...it was sad, but kind of funny. She couldn't even walk she was so drugged. Kevin had to carry her out and he said she was a dead weight. But at least she wasn't in pain!!! The vet figured she either sprained or severly pulled a muscle around her tail area. Who knew a dog could sprain their tail?
Needless to say, I am ready to put Diesel in a helmet and lock him up just for his own protection. I figured he is next...knock on wood. I can't handle (nor can we afford) anymore dog drama!
